Telia launches a pilot with Bikeloop ENGAGE to motivate employees to cycle more.
Bikeloop and Telia Norge have started a new and exciting collaboration where Telia is now testing Bikeloop ENGAGE, a digital benefits and motivation program designed to inspire employees to choose cycling as their means of transport to and from work.
Through the pilot, Telia employees gain access to ENGAGE via the Bikeloop app, where they can collect points and achieve benefits every time they cycle to work. The points can be used for prizes or discounts, and the system provides the company with a simple way to track activity levels, environmental contributions, and bicycle usage among the employees.
– "This is an important step for us at Telia on the path towards more sustainable mobility. ENGAGE makes it both easier and more fun for our employees to choose the bicycle over the car – while we gain valuable insights into the effects of our initiatives," says Leif Harald Mathiesen, Culture & Communication Manager at Telia Norway.
A new tool for green corporate mobility
Bikeloop ENGAGE has been developed for businesses that wish to promote green transport, better public health, and reduced carbon footprint. Through the solution, both employers and employees receive an intuitive tool to record cycling, measure effort, and track results over time.
– "The collaboration with Telia is an important milestone for us. ENGAGE shows how technology and positive behavioral change can be combined to make cycling a natural part of the workday. We see great potential for rolling out the solution to more companies in the future," says Hedda Heyerdahl, founder of Bikeloop.
Part of a larger R&D project
The pilot with Telia is part of Bikeloop's ongoing research and development project, which tests new concepts for safe and smart bicycle parking in collaboration with Norwegian companies, property developers, and municipalities.
The goal is to document how good parking offerings and digital incentives can contribute to increased bicycle use and reduced car dependency in Norwegian cities.
